Forex-SoftProgramming builds MQL4 and MQL5 trading software. When we started selling our own programs, we needed a dependable way to protect and license them — that's how Lockingood was born.
No protection can make software impossible to crack, and no technical measure replaces your legal copyright. What Lockingood does is practical: raise the cost and effort of unauthorised use to the point where copying or cracking your program simply isn't worth it. You can't make software impossible to crack. You can make cracking it harder, more expensive, and less profitable.
Lockingood was built specifically to protect MQL4 and MQL5 trading programs, and that's still where most of our experience lives. The same licensing and validation approach can extend to other compiled languages — .NET, Python, C++ — for vendors who need it, but MQL is where we focus.
Our own backend — the licensing, validation, and dashboard systems behind Lockingood — is built on .NET, C#, and modern database technology. The protected layer for native programs draws on our commercial C++ development experience.

How the system works, in practice.
- Sign up with your email address and a password, then confirm the email you used.
- Log into system.
- Choose the appropriate section to take the action you want.
- To work with your profile and account settings, use the menu at the top-right of the main window.
If you're a Program Vendor, you can:
- View program statistics and revenue in the dashboard.
- Create, reset, or add activations to a customer's licence.
- Add, freeze, unfreeze, update, or archive a program.
- Edit your company details and pay for your service subscription.
Every registered user can: view their own licence statistics, and manage their account (change password, log out, delete account).
- After completing the integration steps (see "How do I integrate my program with Lockingood?" in the FAQ below), the Vendor adds the program's information to the system.
- The Vendor is responsible for distributing their program's executable file — along with the DLL prepared for that program, for MQL and other native integrations.

The Vendor processes payments received from customers for commercial licences, in one of two ways:
- Manually — in the Vendor Dashboard.
- Automatically — by setting up an automated transfer of payment information to the endpoint we provide in our WEB API.
- The Consumer should receive the files and instructions on what to do with them from the Program Vendor.
- After following the instructions, the Consumer launches the program.
- If the program includes a trial licence and the Consumer wishes to use it, the initial launch takes place in two steps: confirming the intent to use the trial licence, and activating it.
- If it is a commercial licence, they simply need to confirm that they want to activate it.
